History of Shabahang and Sons Gallery of Fine Rugs

The principles of Shabahang and Sons Gallery of Fine Rugs have a heritage in the Persian and Oriental rug business that extends back four generations. These many years in the trade were spent around the world, from ancient Persia to trendy Milwaukee. This expertise has resulted in the creation of a world-class collection of the finest Persian, Caucasian, Tribal, Contemporary, Transitional, semi-antique, antique, and Decorative Rugs. The Downtown Milwaukee and Waukesha showrooms combined cover more that 16,500 square feet, all of which is beautifully lit, making it a welcoming environment.

Shabahang and Sons Gallery of Fine Rugs is managed by owners and brothers Bruce and Behzad Shabahang, a fourth generation experts on fine antique rugs. Together the Shabahang Brothers have a combined 40 plus years of rug experience in the rug business that leads out staff of knowledgeable designers and rug specialists.

Every piece in their collection has been hand picked from individual artist and markets around the world, employing a lifetime’s worth of expertise. The Shabahang Brothers believe that hand-knotted and handwoven area rugs have the power to unite cultures, as remote communities of weavers across the ocean painstakingly craft these artworks, which then are shipped across the world to touch and complete the lives of others. The people matter; their stories matter; the honorable age-old craft of weaving is the ultimate testimony of lives lived with purpose.

The Shabahang Brothers have collaborated with designers to create the most exquisite interiors in the country. Pieces for their collection have been furnished in the fine homes of celebrities and diplomats around the the world.

Shabahang and Sons Galley of Fine Rugs are committed to a standard of excellence and they plan to continue to fulfill the design needs of the State Wisconsin area residences well into the future!
